The transformative impact of Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika’s educational empowerment program has been vividly demonstrated at the Federal College of Education (FCE), Zuba, where several of his scholarship beneficiaries have emerged as key leaders within the Student Union Government (SUG).
Among the notable achievements are:
· Comrade Solomon Amos – Current SUG President, FCE Zuba
· Comrade Abdullazeez Jamiu – Senate President, SUG, FCE Zuba
In addition to these executive roles, numerous other scholars have secured key leadership positions across the institution while consistently maintaining outstanding academic records.
In just two years, what began as a humanitarian effort to alleviate financial barriers has grown into a dynamic movement of empowerment. The initiative has successfully cultivated a new generation of campus leaders, top-tier students, and future nation-builders.
Speaking on the development, Hon. Obika commended the students for their resilience and commitment to excellence. He urged them to continue their pursuit of academic distinction and to use their platforms to effect positive change.
“I am immensely proud of each of you. My prayer is that you graduate with outstanding results and become leaders who will give back to society. AMAC/Bwari is counting on you,” he stated.
The lawmaker reaffirmed his unwavering dedication to educational development and youth empowerment across all 22 wards of the AMAC and Bwari Federal Constituency.
The growing success of this initiative has drawn widespread commendation, with the SUG President and Senate President of the College publicly lauding Hon. Obika for his profound impact on both students and the institution.
This milestone marks yet another achievement for the 52 scholars currently benefiting from the program. According to the lawmaker this is only the beginning of a long-term vision to build a pipeline of educated, empowered, and civically engaged youth leaders.
