Sequel to complaints coming to my office from my Constituents bothering on payment for meters under Meter Assets Provider (MAP) without getting the meters installed on time, non-refund through energy credit as MAP Policy provides investment in the Network of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) without applying the Third Party or Network investment Policy even though it is DISCO that energizes it. Hence, they are not refunded but the investments taken over by AEDC to run their business. AEDC got a loan of N5,998,318,029. 30 from Central Bank of Nigeria to provide meter for consumers under her franchise area under the National Mass Metering Program (NMMP) but the people are complaining of not getting the meters etc.
My constitutional mandate as a Legislator under Section 88(I) to cause direct investigation into the conduct of affairs of any person, authority, ministry or government department charged or intended to be charged with the duty or responsibility for executing or administering laws enacted by the National Assembly and disbursing or administering moneys appropriated or to be appropriated by the National Assembly

B) Evidence of payments and related expenditure including receipts, invoices, delivery notes for electricity infrastructure including transformers, poles, feeder pillars, cables etc
C) Evidence of receipt of meters from AEDC under the National Mass Metering Program (NMMP)
