I am writing to inform the good people of AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency FCT Abuja and FCT Residents in general of the upcoming court case between Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika and Federal Character Commission (NICN/ABJ/148/2024) on Thursday, 13th March, 2025 at the National Industrial Court headquarters, Area 3, Abuja before Court 1 under Hon. Justice B.B. Kanyip.
I took the Federal Character Commission to court due to their denial of the Federal Capital Territory’s quota in federal civil service employment. By instituting this court case, I aim to challenge this perceived injustice and advocate for the rights of my constituents by compelling the Commission to address the lopsidedness in recruitment, ensuring fairness to FCT indigenes and residents.
This legal effort demonstrates my commitment to represent the interests of the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency by promoting equality in federal employment opportunities.
