After four years of darkness, residents of Dnako Community in Kuduru Ward of Bwari Area Council can finally look forward to restored electricity following the donation of a 500KVA transformer by Honourable Joshua Chinedu Obika, the Member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.
The community had earlier cried out over the prolonged blackout that affected businesses, security, and daily life. Responding to their plea, the Honourable Member listened and rendered succour by providing the transformer to restore power to the area.
The transformer was delivered to the community by the contractor, accompanied by the Area Council Chairman of the Grassroot Movement for Good Governance (GMGG), Mrs. Rosemary Otaluwa, the Secretary Chief Patrick Ubaka, and Comrade Abiodun Ekundayo Maxwell, the Bwari Area Council Organizing Secretary of the Hon. Chinedu Obika Solidarity Movement 2027 and a resident of the community, alongside other stakeholders of the GMGG.
The transformer was received by the Mai Angwa of Dnako Community and members of the Community Executive Committee in the presence of joyful residents who gathered to witness the long-awaited intervention that will bring an end to the four-year power outage.
