Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, Member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, visited Karsana Village today to assess the aftermath of the recent illegal demolition in the community. Accompanied by Hon. Kingsley Okeke, Labour Party AMAC Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Obika expressed solidarity with affected residents and outlined urgent actions.

Hon. Obika unequivocally condemned the unlawful demolition, describing it as a violation of residents’ rights. He assured the community of his commitment to pursue justice through all legal avenues. While urging calm and restraint, he vowed to relentlessly advocate for the interests of FCT’s original inhabitants, emphasizing, “I will fight for justice using every legal tool at our disposal. Immediate monetary assistance was provided to villagers injured during the demolition, currently receiving hospital treatment.

Hon. Obika advised the community through the village Chief of Karsana II, Auta Hassan Knabedu, to urgently submit a detailed petition to his office via his Legislative Aide, Hon. Joel Danlami, for immediate action.

Hon. Obika reaffirmed his role as a staunch defender of indigenous rights in the FCT, stating: “I stand with you today and always. Your dignity and justice remain non-negotiable.
