Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, Member of the House of Representatives for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, FCT Abuja, empowered 40 secondary school principals in his constituency with laptops and ₦50,000 cash grants each during an empowerment program held yesterday at Government Secondary School (GSS) Garki, Abuja.
The initiative, organized in partnership with the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) and Citymart Integrated Services Ltd., focuses on advancing human capital development and promoting technology incubation in education.
Hon. Obika urged the principals to leverage the laptops to enhance ICT training for students, emphasizing that the gesture marks the beginning of sustained support.
Mrs. Alhassan Aishatu Sani, Ag. Director of School Services, thanked the lawmaker on behalf of the principals, pledging to utilize the tools responsibly to improve learning outcomes.
The principals applauded Hon. Obika’s unprecedented efforts, contrasting his proactive approach with the inaction of past representatives. They vowed to support his political aspirations, expressing confidence in his capacity to drive further development if given higher responsibilities.
This initiative underscores a commitment to bridging the digital divide in education and fostering technological literacy within the constituency.
