The Member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, has demonstrated his commitment to grassroots security by swiftly responding to the plight of Nyanya Phase 4 residents following recent armed robbery incidents.
The community, which faced a devastating attack by armed robbers resulting in the loss of properties and cash totaling millions of Naira, reached out to Hon. Obika through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Emenike Egbusunwa, a resident of the area.
Recognizing security as a top priority in his legislative agenda, Hon. Obika promptly visited the community yesterday, Saturday 24th May 2025 to commiserate with residents and assess the situation.
During the visit, the lawmaker donated 20 solar-powered streetlights and a substantial financial contribution to bolster security operations in Nyanya Phase 4.
These interventions aim to enhance visibility, deter criminal activities, and restore residents’ confidence.
The Community Security Chairman, Hon. Ijoma Richard, expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the residents, applauding Hon. Obika’s immediate action and describing it as “unprecedented in the history of representation within AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency.” He also commended Mr. Egbusunwa for his proactive role in bridging the community’s needs with his principal’s office.
Hon. Obika reassured constituents of his dedication to advancing security, infrastructure, and welfare initiatives across the constituency, urging continued collaboration between residents and security agencies.
