  • Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika-MHR, Took Federal Character Commission To Court For Grossly Denying FCT Their Own Quota In The Employment In Federal Civil Service.

Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika took the Federal Character Commission to court due to the commission’s alleged denial of the Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) quota in federal civil service employment. According to Obika, the FCT inhabitants has been grossly denied of employment during recruitment exercises in the Federal Civil Service which he condemned in totality.

Obika argues that as the Federal Capital, Abuja deserves special consideration in recruitment due to its sacrifices in terms of land and resources. He urges the commission to address the lopsidedness in recruitment, ensuring fairness and justice for FCT residents.

By taking the commission to court, Obika aims to challenge this perceived injustice and advocate for the rights of his constituents.

His efforts demonstrate his commitment to representing the interests of the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency and promoting equality in federal employment opportunities.
