  • Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika-MHR, Strengthens Bonds Across AMAC/Bwari: A Day Of Deep Constituency Engagement

In a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to grassroots connectivity and inclusive representation, the Member representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, yesterday embarked on a series of significant engagements across the constituency, underscoring his dedication to being a present and accessible leader.

The day’s itinerary was a vivid reflection of the constituency’s rich social and cultural tapestry, as Hon. Obika seamlessly navigated between traditional, cultural, and community events.

The Hon. Member commenced his day by gracing the wedding ceremony of Alhaji Suleiman Musa Ijakoro (Iyan Bwari) and his bride, Husnah Musa Ibrahim. The event, which was held under the esteemed auspices of His Royal Highness, Alh. (Dr.) Awwal Musa Ijakoro II, the Sarkin Bwari, provided a platform for Hon. Obika to further solidify his administration’s partnership with the traditional institution. His presence was a mark of deep respect for the customs and families that form the bedrock of the Bwari community.

Honouring Our Heritage at the Iri-Ji Festival;
In a powerful display of cultural solidarity, Hon. Obika was a Special Guest of Honour at the vibrant Iri-Ji (New Yam) cultural festival of the Ikenga Mbosi community in the FCT. He lauded the Ikenga Mbosi for preserving their cherished traditions and emphasized the importance of cultural heritage as a unifying force for national development. His participation reinforced his policy of celebrating and supporting every ethnic group within the diverse fabric of the Federal Capital Territory.

Again, in a show of solidarity with the Igbo Community; the Member further demonstrated his inclusive leadership by attending the Igbo Community Assembly (ICA) Igbo Day Celebration 2025. In his remarks, he commended the immense contributions of the Igbo community to the socio-economic landscape of AMAC/Bwari and the FCT at large. He reaffirmed his commitment to representing all constituents without prejudice, fostering an environment of unity and collective progress.

Rounding off his extensive schedule, Hon. Obika joined family, friends, and associates at the 50th Birthday Anniversary of Barr. Maxwell Opara at the A-Class Event Centre, Maitama. Celebrating the personal achievements of constituents remains a cornerstone of his representative philosophy, acknowledging that the strength of the constituency is built on the success of its individuals.

Through this full day of dedicated engagement, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika has once again proven that effective representation is built on a foundation of presence, respect, and active participation in the lives of the people he serves.
