BISHOPS ENDORSE SECOND TERM, LAUD CONSTITUENCY SERVICE AND FAITH-BASED SUPPORT
The Member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, FCT Abuja, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, was honored with the prestigious International Leadership Meritorious Service Award by the Charismatic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) during a delegation visit to his Constituency Office on Tuesday 17th June 2025.
The delegation, led by His Grace Archbishop Prof. Leonard Bature Kawas, President-General of CBCN, formally presented the award in recognition of Hon. Obika’s exceptional record of charitable service nationwide and his unwavering commitment to supporting the Kingdom of God.
The award was originally conferred during CBCN’s 2025 National Synod at the National Christian Center, Abuja, on June 13, 2025, by the Governing Council of CBCN and the International Christian Ecumenical Bishops Awards (ICCEBA).
Archbishop Kawas commended Hon. Obika’s exemplary leadership and philanthropic legacy, describing them as “a hallmark of commendable service worthy of emulation.”
The bishops offered prayers for his continued success in office and formally endorsed him for a second term, pledging their ongoing support for his stewardship.
In response, Hon. Obika expressed gratitude and urged the religious leaders to persistently pray for Nigeria and its leaders. He emphasized the importance of speaking truth to power in guiding the nation forward.
