Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, Member of the House of Representatives for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, was honored with the traditional title “Hasken Fulani Bwari” (translating to “Light of the Fulani in Bwari Area Council, FCT”) during a landmark gathering of the Labour Party Fulani Initiative Forum.
The event, held yesterday at the Global Suite Hotel in Bwari, convened Fulani community leaders and stakeholders across the Area Council. Attendees engaged in robust discussions to strengthen Labour Party’s grassroots presence and strategize for victory in the 2026 FCT Area Council Elections.
In his keynote address, Hon. Obika recognized as the Political Leader of Labour Party in FCT, commended the Fulani community’s active participation in the party.
He reaffirmed his commitment to expanding democratic dividends through inclusive representation, stating; “Your steadfast support fuels our collective progress. Together, we will advance policies that uplift every community in Bwari and secure greater opportunities under the Labour Party banner.”
The Forum culminated in a unanimous endorsement of Hon. Obika’s re-election bid for a second term, citing his dedication to equitable development and inter-community dialogue.
This initiative underscores Labour Party’s strategic drive to consolidate its influence in Bwari Area Council while fostering unity among the FCT’s diverse demographics.
