Yesterday, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, Member of the House of Representatives for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, FCT Abuja, paid a solemn condolence visit to the family of the late Kamaludeen Muhammad Danladi Karshi.
Kamaludeen Muhammad tragically lost his life during a peaceful protest organized by the Original Inhabitants of the FCT. The demonstrators were advocating for the equitable inclusion of FCT’s indigenous people in the nomination process for the North Central Development Commission.
Hon. Obika strongly condemned the undemocratic actions of the police that led to Kamaludeen’s death.
Speaking on behalf of the government, the lawmaker extended profound apologies to the bereaved family for this grave error resulting in an irreplaceable loss.
He consoled the family and offered prayers, asking God to grant them the fortitude to bear this profound tragedy.
May the gentle soul of Kamaludeen Muhammad Danladi Karshi rest in perfect peace. Amen.
