The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Abaji Area Council Chairmanship, Hon. Abubakar Umar Abdullahi (AUA), has received a significant endorsement from the Ndigbo community in Abaji Area Council ahead of the 2026 FCT Area Council Elections.
The endorsement was formalized during a well-attended ceremony led by Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, Member representing the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.
Hon. Obika, a key stakeholder in the region, rallied the support of the Igbo community, presenting a unified front behind the candidacy of Hon. Abdullahi for a second term in office. The event highlighted the community’s commitment to continuity and development in Abaji.
The ceremony also witnessed the esteemed presence of prominent Igbo leaders with the APC. Notably, Hon. Lawrence Onuchukwu, former Vice Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), and Hon. Dr. Ubasinachi, former House of Representatives candidate for Abuja North on the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and erstwhile leader of APGA in the FCT. They joined Hon. Obika and other notable Igbo leaders in the FCT to pledge their support for the APC candidate.
The gathering underscored a growing political consensus in the Area Council, uniting leaders behind the vision of Hon. Abubakar Umar Abdullahi as the election approaches.
