The AMAC/Bwari Lawmaker, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika; last month (August 2024) during his collaborative tour in USA, had a productive meeting with the Secretary of transportation, California State Transport Agency, and has expressed his gratitude and appreciation, stating that Toks Omishakin’s insight and enthusiasm for fostering deeper ties between the state of California and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Abuja, Nigeria were truly inspiring.
Hon. Obika Further stated thus; We are particularly excited about the areas of cooperation we discussed, including but not limited to transportation, education, agriculture and solid minerals. These sectors are pivotal not only for the development of the FCT, but also for establishing a robust partnership that could serve as a model for future collaborations.
As you may know, the FCT Abuja, with its current population of over 4 million people, spans a land area of 7,315 km². The region’s growing population and strategic location make it a significant hub for investment. Abuja presents a dynamic and promising market for California to explore, especially as we focus on sustainable growth and innovation.
We are fully committed to advancing the initiatives we agreed upon and are eager to explore all the opportunities that this partnership can bring.
Please consider all that we discussed, as we move forward with these exciting projects. Thank you once again for your time and commitment as we look forward to working closely with you to achieve our shared goals and will be glad to welcome you in Nigeria between the 6th and 15th of December this year..
