On this auspicious occasion of Mothers’ Day 2025, I join the entire Christendom, families, and friends across the globe to celebrate our precious mothers, the divine architects of love, sacrifice, and nation-building.
Mothering Sunday serves as a timeless reminder that mothers are God’s special gifts to humanity. Today, we reflect on the irreplaceable roles they play: their unwavering love, their selfless sacrifices, and the profound impact they make especially within the home. A mother will go hungry to feed her child, endure pain to see her family smile, and labor tirelessly to shape a better tomorrow. Yet, even a lifetime of gratitude cannot suffice for all they give.
To our mothers “UGOEGBE EZI NA ULO” (the family’s pride and mirror), your influence transcends the home. As the first teachers of life, the character of every child is a reflection of your nurture. I urge you to embrace the sacred duty of responsible parenting, for the children you raise today will become the leaders of tomorrow. Let us heed the wisdom of the adage: “The society we neglect today will exact its revenge on our children tomorrow.
This year’s celebration challenges us all to raise a new generation, children who are disciplined, visionary, law-abiding, and committed to the progress of society. As mothers, you are the cornerstone of this noble mission.
