Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, Member of the House of Representatives (MHR) representing AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency, attended a Labour Party town hall meeting organized by the FCT Southwest Geopolitical Zone at the party’s National Secretariat in Utako, Abuja.
Addressing attendees, Obika commended the zone’s efforts but urged members to intensify grassroots mobilization by establishing party chapters at electoral wards.
He reaffirmed the Labour Party’s strength under National Chairman Barr. Julius Abure and stressed strict adherence to the party’s constitution, noting that no individual supersedes its principles.
Obika called for unity, encouraging dialogue with aggrieved members to foster reconciliation.
He asserted that the Labour Party remains a leading force in Nigeria and urged collective action to defend its progress, stating, “This is the time for Labour to shine again in the FCT and we will succeed together.”
