In a significant step towards enhancing security in the Bwari Area Council, the Member representing AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, officially commissioned the newly constructed Operations Unit for security operatives in Ushafa/Pmagbe Community.
This project, substantially supported by Hon. Obika, is part of the legislator’s strategic initiative to bolster security infrastructure across the constituency. To date, he has facilitated the construction of over eight security outposts, providing critical operational bases for security personnel.
During the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Obika emphasized the fundamental importance of security. The safety and protection of citizens lives and property must be a primary concern for every responsible stakeholder, he stated. He commended the community leadership for their proactive role in initiating the project, highlighting the power of collaboration between elected representatives and their constituents in tackling shared challenges.
Reaffirming his dedication to this cause, Hon. Obika pledged his continued support for security agencies in the discharge of their vital duties. Demonstrating this commitment, he announced an immediate donation of Three Hundred Thousand Naira (₦300,000) for the procurement of additional security gadgets and pledged to install more street lights in the area to improve visibility and deter crime during nighttime hours.
The event was attended by community leaders, security operatives, and enthusiastic residents, all of whom expressed their appreciation for the project, which is expected to significantly improve the security landscape of the area.
