The Member representing AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, was in attendance at the burial ceremony of his late friend and brother, Yunusa Ahmadu Yusuf, popularly known as Buhun Borkonun Abuja.
Buhun Borkonun was widely recognized for his vocal advocacy and tremendous courage in the struggle for the rights of the Original Inhabitants of the Federal Capital Territory. He was a true and steadfast champion for indigenous rights, whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the FCT.
Hon. Obika extends his heartfelt sympathies to the immediate family, friends, associates, and all who are grieving this profound loss.
While death is an inevitable end for every soul, its sudden arrival reminds us of the fragility of life. We are, however, consoled by the enduring legacy of courage and principle that Buhun Borkonun leaves behind.
He was not only a comrade in the struggle but also a friend and brother with whom I shared a common ideology. I deeply admired his resilience and unwavering commitment, said Hon. Obika. I pray that his gentle soul finds perfect rest in the paradise of Almighty God, who has called him home. May he rest in eternal peace until we meet to part no more.
