We, the 22 Ward Chairmen of the All-Wards structure in Amac/Bwari Federal Constituency, Abuja North, wish to formally address the national leadership of our great party, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) , our esteemed party members, and the general public.
Following the conduct of the NDC House of Representatives primary election earlier this week, we state clearly and without equivocation that we are entirely pleased with the emergence of Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika as the rightful winner of the primary election.
Having directly witnessed the primary process which shows that majority of the members on ground came out for Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika and the subsequent consensus exercise that produced him as the concensus candidate, We affirm that his victory reflects the true will of the grassroots and the majority of our party faithful across all 22 wards of the constituency.
Hon. Obika: The Only Candidate with Electoral Value
We use this opportunity to notify the national leadership that Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika is the sole candidate capable of attracting the overwhelming votes of residents in Amac/Bwari. His structure, popularity, and deep connection with the electorate make him the most viable candidate to deliver the constituency for the NDC in the general election.
We therefore urge the leadership of our great party to do everything within its powers to support the decision of the grassroots and the voting public, in the overriding interest of peace, unity, and electoral progress.
Winning is Certain with Hon. Obika
We must win the main election. And we are convinced that with Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika as our candidate, victory is not just a possibility—it is a certainty.
Consequently, we call on any individual or group plotting to smuggle themselves into the position of candidate for Amac/Bwari Federal Constituency to please rethink their actions in the interest of our great party. Any such move will be resisted by the 22 ward chairmen and the entire grassroots structure.
No Vacancy for 2027
Finally, the 22 Ward Chairmen of Amac/Bwari have unanimously come together to endorse Hon
Obika for the 2027 election: there is no vacancy in Amac/Bwari Federal Constituency come the 2027 election.
An Appeal to the Party Leadership
Consequently, we urge the National Leadership of the NDC to take all necessary steps to uphold the decision of the grassroots and the electorate. In the interest of peace, internal cohesion, and electoral success, the party must resist any attempts to undermine the primary outcome. We must win the main election, and with Hon. Obika as our candidate, winning is certain.
We know Hon. Joshua Chinedu Obika, and he knows us. This is a compact of trust, performance, and political loyalty.
Long live Amac/Bwari
